Manifest Your Virtual Assistant Life – 2025 Vision Board

by

Whether you believe in New Year Resolutions or not, creating a 2025 vision board for the year is a great way to track progress toward your personal goals. When I first started as a Virtual Assistant, my coach made me create a vision board to focus on actionable steps to make my dream life as a Virtual Assistant a reality. My vision board became a great visual representation of the goals I wanted to accomplish to be able to stay home with my child.

Now that I have been a Virtual Assistant for over 5 years, it’s neat to look back at my previous vision boards and observe my personal growth and all that I have accomplished. I created a new vision board for the upcoming year in January so that I can focus on achieving my goals for my best year yet.

The popular adage, “If you fail to plan you plan to fail,” rings true for most people, myself included. If I don’t have clear goals I want to achieve, it’s hard to determine the right path to take to achieve these goals.

This post shares how to Manifest Your Virtual Assistant Life- 2025 Vision Board

Why Vision Boards Work For Virtual Assistants

Vision Boards are a great tool for manifesting long-term goals. Having a visual representation of your goals, whether as a screensaver on your desktop computer or a physical board, seeing your board daily in your office space taps into your subconscious mind to align action with your goals.

Clearly defined goals simplify important business decisions. For example, if your goal is to achieve a specific monthly revenue by the end of the year, you’ll know exactly what to aim for when prospecting new clients. This clarity helps you prioritize higher-paying clients to meet your revenue target with fewer contracts, rather than juggling multiple smaller clients. Aligning your prospecting efforts with your financial goals, you create a more focused and efficient path to success.

I recently stumbled upon Marie Forleo and her book, Everything Is Figureoutable, (yes, I have been living under a rock!), and binging her Podcast daily as it’s been helping me keep a positive mindset with all of her inspiration. Her book Everything is Figureoutable goes well hand in hand with having a vision board. Sometimes we may set goals for ourselves and have no idea how to achieve them, but Marie reminds us that “Everything Is Figureoutable“.

Yes, it will likely take hard work, but most importantly we need to have the openness to be willing to receive the insight to make those goals happen. In other words, it’s ok to not have the answers right at this moment to make your goals a reality. Thinking back on my own Virtual Assistant goals I set for myself in the beginning, there are lots of things I know now that would have greatly facilitated my journey, but with time, I figured them out! 1. Financial Goals

Truthfully, we all start out by dreaming of starting our own business because of the financial and time freedom possibilities. Having a financial target is a great place to start because then you can work ‘backward’ in your business detailing the steps to making that a reality.

I ask you this; How much money do you need monthly, or yearly to be able to stay home with the kids? What is that magical $ amount? What is your minimum target for making your dream a reality?

Write all this down on your 2025 Vision Board

2. Work-Life Balance

The next thing to include and one that is very important for moms wanting to become Virtual Assistants is what your ideal work-life balance looks like. How much time do you want to dedicate to working on your business compared to being present with your kids? Are you only willing to work while your kids are in school? Or maybe you are only wanting to work during nap time to start? Are you wanting to take your kids out on playdates once per week?

Having a clear vision of what your life will look like when balancing work and life will help you determine which type of client to attract to your Virtual Assistant business and what type of revenue you need to generate in the amount of time you have to work on your business.

3. Networking and Collaboration

Now that you have a clearer vision of what your dream life could look like, it’s time to think about the steps you are going to take to get there. Again, you don’t need to have all of the answers but just put the thought out there of what steps you could potentially take to make this dream a reality. Will you grow your connections on LinkedIn? How will you do this? By sending a minimum of 100 connection requests per week? Will you join 2 new Facebook Virtual Assistant communities per week and actively participate in them for at least 10 minutes per day? What are some reasonable steps you can take daily to grow your network?

4. Professional and Personal Development

Finally, what are some professional or personal development goals that you could set for yourself to propel your life and business? Is it learning 2 new software systems this year? Like Dubsado and Click Up? Do you want to cultivate a growth mindset? Do you want to expand your local network? (Ties in well with #3).
These are just some quick ideas of what you can include on your 2025 Vision Board but don’t be afraid to also include pictures of your family and yourself because there is no greater reason or motivator than accomplishing your dreams to be there for your kids.

3 Steps to Creating Your Vision Board

1. Gather Your Materials

I like creating my vision boards on Canva, this way I can save my vision board as the background on my computer. You also have the option of creating a collage of images on a sheet of paper, or a bristol board, this may even be a great activity to get the kids involved with!

Gather your supplies like magazines, scissors, and glue. Or create a digital vision board on Canva.

2. Define Your Goals

Before getting started, brainstorm as many goals as you can and write them down on a scrap piece of paper. You can also refer to the previous section (Areas to Focus on for Your 2025 Vision Board) for prompts on generating your goals. If you are a big dreamer and have a lot of goals, you may want to decide on what your top 5 goals are for the year and focus on those solely. You want to avoid setting yourself up for failure by having too many goals.

3. Create your 2025 Vision Board

Here comes the fun part, put it all together on your board! You can make it as fun and as colorful as you like! The choice is yours! It may even bring you great joy if your kids help you out, that way you can be reminded daily of your ‘Why’ for starting your own Virtual Assistant business.

Maintain Your Momentum

Once you have created your vision board, you’ll want to place it in an area where you will see it daily so that you can take advantage of your subconscious mind working out the solutions to achieving your goals. This reminds me of another popular adage, “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” which also rings especially true for this.

Every week, I like to reflect on how my week has gone. Have I taken actionable steps to make my dreams a reality? What held me back from taking those steps? What areas could I  improve upon to give myself the time and space to make this a reality?

Creating a vision board for 2025 isn’t just an exercise in creativity, it’s a great way to visualize bringing your goals into focus and aligning your daily actions with your dreams.

Whether you’re aiming for financial freedom, better work-life balance, or spending more time with your kids, your vision board serves as a daily reminder of what you’re working toward and why it matters.

Success doesn’t come from having all the answers right away, but it comes from taking intentional steps forward, one day at a time. As Marie Forleo says, “Everything is Figureoutable.”

With your vision board as a guide, you’ll have the clarity and motivation to make even what feels like the most ambitious goals feel achievable.

What are some of your 2025 goals?

Here’s to making 2025 your best year yet!
